Help
Every page of this site, this one included, carries links to five independent gambling-help organisations. You will find them in the list below on this page.
- BeGambleAware
- Gamble Aware
- Gambling Therapy
- G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
- NCPG
These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow and they open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when you follow one.
Age
The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this site, including on the front page.
- Nobody's age is verified here.
- No gambling takes place on this site. Any age check happens at the destination you choose.
Limits
This site is a set of static pages. It has no account, no form and no server-side application. Nothing published here can switch on, check or enforce a spending control.
- Deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are arranged by you, inside your own account at the destination.
- No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.
Habits
Each of these habits works because it removes a decision you would otherwise make under pressure.
- Decide the amount before you start. A figure chosen calmly is more reliable than one chosen mid-session.
- Treat that amount as already spent. If you expect nothing back, a loss cannot feel like a debt to recover.
- Never chase a loss. Raising stakes to win money back adds to the amount at risk without changing the odds.
- Keep borrowed money out of it. Credit turns a fixed loss into a repayment that carries on afterwards.
- Take breaks. Stepping away interrupts the momentum that makes time and money easy to lose track of.
Support
Involve someone you trust early, at the point when gambling stops feeling like entertainment. Do not wait until it becomes a crisis. Another person can notice patterns you might explain away. The organisations listed above are independent sources of help.
